Hey, thanks for dropping by ๐
This week wasn’t the best week, but I managed to get my version of Rowan’s Dill started. (My project on Ravelry here)
In truth I’ve probably completely gone way off the pattern. I just did some maths and cast on according to my measurements and how I wanted it to go. I also added in the pattern for the rib section in Elven Dance.

I’m not gonna lie, I’m stunned I didn’t have to pull it back several times (just once or twice when I overdid it with the increases near the beginning!). And I’m even more stunned I’m really happy with the way the rib turned out and the shaping for the arms. I wish you could feel it, it’s not the softest yarn in the world, but it’s nice.. but more than that the texture and tension has turned out so lovely and squishy. Just what I imagined.
This afternoon I went to our gorgeous local little knitting shop and bought two 20mm coconut buttons for the front. I will have to fish out some thinner yarn, because I’ll be lucky if I get one strand of the super chunky through those small holes, but I couldn’t leave without them, the colours looked amazing together.

So, I’m really hoping to get it finished tonight or at least over the weekend. Then immediately after that I want to jump into Novelette. My version will be floor length. I’m hoping the width of the bottom part is wide enough for my whole body/walking in… there’s one way to find out! ๐
Well, I will post this now, and I’ll see you next week
Happy crafting ๐
